Vintage Tanforan Race Track Horseshoe Ashtray, Trinket Dish

Did you know that before Tanforan was a huge shopping center, it was a horserace track with a fascinating and topsy-turvy history dating back to the late 1800s that ended with a fire in 1964? That explains the huge bronze statute of Seabiscuit at the parking lot's west entrance. 

Own a piece of bay area history with this very rare and unique vintage horseshoe ashtray from Tanforan's race track days. The ashtray is in good condition with no visible blemishes, and was made in Japan, as shown by the sticker on the backside.
