Where are you located?

Ruby’s Old & New is based in San Francisco, California. While we’re primarily online, we like to pop up at local markets and community events. All orders ship to you with love from San Francisco.

Right now you can find us at The Crossing at the East Cut in downtown San Francisco, 250 Main Street @ Beale. Wednesday through Friday, 3pm-6pm.

We will also be participating in the Inner Sunset Holiday Mercantile on December 6-7, in Golden Gate Park.


Who handles shipping and fulfillment?

Every order is packed and shipped right here in San Francisco. No warehouses, dropshipping, or outsourced fulfillment — just thoughtful, careful packaging from our hands to yours. 


What is your shipping policy?

Domestic ground shipping is free on all orders over $40. Everything else ships for $5. Standard shipping (2-3 days) is $10. Priority shipping (3-4 days) is $20.

Shipping for orders outside of the continental U.S. will vary. They are calculated by the shipping carrier (DHL) on an individual basis.


What is your return policy?

Most items may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 30 days of receipt, customer pays return shipping fees. Stationery, candles, art prints, and bath & body products are final sale. Vintage items are sold as-is and are final sale.

Who's Ruby?

Ruby was Ali's great-grandmother—a tough cookie who lived in San Francisco and worked as a switchboard operator in downtown San Francisco. She gave and wrapped the best gifts (we called her the "tape queen" because she was always a little gratuitous with the scotch tape at Christmas). Her joyful spitfire-y spirit inspires our curation of vintage finds, modern keepsakes, and joyful everyday objects.

How do you find your suppliers?

We source from a mix of independent artists, small-batch makers, ethical studios, estate sales, and vintage collectors. Everything in the shop is chosen for its quality, intention, and story, whether it’s handmade, sustainably produced, or a one-of-a-kind vintage treasure.


What kind of products do you carry?

Ruby’s Old & New carries a curated selection of artisan home goods, paper goods, gifts, jewelry, small accessories, and vintage pieces. Everything is chosen to spark joy, nostalgia, or that “I have to have this” feeling.


Are your items sustainable or ethically made?

Yes. Sustainability is one of our core values. We prioritize handmade goods, eco-friendly materials, transparent supply chains, and products created by humans who are paid fairly. We also offer curated vintage, arguably the most sustainable category of all.


Do you restock items?

Many pieces are small-batch or one-of-a-kind, especially our handmade and vintage collections. If you see something you love, we recommend grabbing it — once it’s gone, it may never return. Some bestselling items are restocked seasonally, but we like to have our products shift with the seasons.


Do you offer gift wrapping?

Yes! Because gifting is a big part of our community, we offer simple, thoughtful gift wrapping using recyclable or compostable materials. We can also include a handwritten note (Ruby would insist on it).


Do you ship internationally?

Right now we ship within the United States, and we just began to offer international shipping. If you’re outside the U.S. and have your eye on something, reach out — we may be able to help. But please be patient with us, we're learning as we go.
