This glycerin-based soap is made with Shea Butter which softens the skin with its high concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins. Made by Hand in Canada.

Saturna Outdoor Research was inspired by the owner's camping trip to Saturna Island in British Columbia, Canada, which they found to be a truly magical, beautiful and unforgettable place.  The color of the ocean, sky, rocks, drifted woods, birds they saw in summer, the deep smell of evergreen trees in October... they wanted to incorporate everything they saw and felt into their products.

The trip also made them consider how they could be better to our earth and adopted a less-is-more philosophy when it comes to their products. They focus on simple, clean ingredients that are gentle on your skin and the earth. We also appreciate that their soaps are palm oil free.

When it comes to handmade items, they really take their time.  Saturna makes their soaps in small batches, one batch at a time. They believe that the trace of a maker's hand on the product creates personal connection between maker and a customer, which resonates with us at Ruby's.
